A couple years ago my freezer quit. I ran out and bought another one. I had the choice of a frost free for more money. I decided not to get the frost free one. So about every 3 or so months I would help the wife remove everything, and defrost the freezer. One of those times I mentioned I should have bought the frost free freezer. Ever since then, all I would hear is, we need a new freezer. Last night I picked up our new $600.00 freezer. Another time, I told someone about a motorcyle motor I was looking at. He bought bought it out from under me. It pays to keep your mouth shut at times. Stan
 
When we remodeled the kitchen about 25 years ago, wife wanted a "convection oven"- they were a lot more money, and we went with a conventional. She bugged me about it for a few years, then quit.

Now the oven is going out, so need another one. I asked if she wanted a convection- "No, they cost too much. I seem to do fine with the regular kind."
 
I bought a garden tractor that someone told me about.
He came to me and said that I bought it out from under him. I asked him why he didn't buy it when he was looking at it? He said that he was going to wait and see if he could get if for less.
 
I'll take the old style and defrost it any day over a frost free. If you leave anything in a frost free over a couple week's it isn't worth eating, plus they are hard on your electric bill.
 
went to a farm sale once, my stupidvisers husband was there, I out bid him on a chain saw. She came in the next morning all mad about it, saying he could've resold it for 30 dollars. I asked her who made him quit bidding, she gave me whats that sopposed to mean look and left.

You could have just had a child come and stay with you a few days... they will leave the freezer open and automatically defrost it for you!

Don't ask me how I know. :)
 
Sweetfeet it also happened right here in Northwest Iowa earlier this summer. Freezer's in the hot garage. Jim
