can't find water pump seal kit for my 1947 99 (this has the big 4 cyl engine) I did post this in the oliver forum and got a good detailed answer just not sure where to find the piece to put plan into action. So i'm thinking there has got to be other tractors that have this same kind of seal set up. So i'm wonder what have others done to fab up their own seal?
how it works there is a seat that is pressed into the pump housing then the carbon ring (i'm not sure what its actually made of but its the broken piece it has four nubs on it that hold it stationary in the impeller) goes against it then is backed up by a rubber, then a tin plate and spring hold constant pressure on everything
there is a threshing show coming up in a couple weeks that i would like to take the tractor to, the owner of the collection this tractor came from has passed and i bought it last year from his daughters and they always go to this show and love seeing their dads tractors fixed up
