Good neighbors!

Been struggling with rain all summer so far at my MX track and the driveway had a few holes from where water was running across. The gravel pit is about 3 miles away and a few of the owners family ride. They've brought me gravel before and when I said I could use some to fill a couple holes, they said no problem. Showed up tonight with a slightly overloaded triple axle Kenworth. 3 buckets from a Cat 980 loader, about 30 tons! The truck is their pit truck but it's only supposed to carry 18 tons on the road. The owners son and couple of cousins did a few laps and he said they should paying me. That's not ever going to happen. 3/4" road crush isn't cheap. They say the track is good for the community and keeps people from riding in their pit. Gotta love good neighbors.

I have a neighbor that barrows alot.It always comes back in better shape than it left.He even repaired a leaking clyinder on my cat loader once. Trying to get him to borrow my combine!!

I found a way to make bad neighbors good. I had some bad thugish neighbors that lived up from me. They were always outside drinking, whooping and hollering and shooting guns and having parties at all hours of the night. They were far enough they didn"t bother me in the house, but close enough that I could hear their noise if I went outside. One year for Christmas, someone gave me a big bottle of whiskey I didn"t want, so I went over to their house and told them I didn"t drink, but didn"t mind others that did as long as they were at their own house not bothering anyone and out on the roads. I gave them the bottle of whiskey and told them Merry Christmas.
After that, they werent as obnoxious and they would keep an eye out on my place and had their friends be more respectful of my place.
