Hi looking g for help I have a Kubota l 3300 tractor and just purchased a mint cond. Ford 501 sickle bar mower for a really cheap price does anyone know if I will have a prob using on Kubota its a 3point hitch PTO driven I have it loosely mounted now but see that she booked to a ford it needs stabilizer bars any help will be appreciated. Thank bill

That 501 won't know what it is hooked to, and plenty were hooked to 8Ns with less power than your 3300.

Should work fine on your 'boter. You do need to stabilize the 3 point arms- does your Kubota have the adjustable stabilizers built in, like my MX5000? Power wise, it will be fine.

MIght work might have to do some rigging for the pin that goes under the axle.If you really want a good mower stay away fromt he 501 especially if you have rocks,I've replaced several pitmans when they hit a loose rock and broke the pitman.Get a 350 John Deere no hitch issues and a far superior mower.

Thank you for info I think. I can stabilize it not many around here for sale and this one is mint farmer had stored in barn for 10 yrs and I couldn't buy a new one I have a horse farm and just don't like way bush hog does pastures

Thanks for reply I have it mounted and think I will be able to adapt original brace only gave 250 for it

I have always thought that a seven foot sickle was the way to go for pasture clipping. You can do it so much faster hat you can do it 2-3 times a year and kick the weeds right out of there.

Only thing I have to check is when the breakaway works if PTO
shaft is long enough I read somewhere someone put a 501 on a
diff tractor and shaft came apart when bar brokeaway
