I worked on it a couple hours today cleaning up temporary wiring.
The computer has a setting to test coils, and they both worked. It has a nice 1/4" blue spark, and hurts pretty good when I got bit. It uses wasted spark, so there is a separate coil for 1&4 and one for 2&3.
I am remaking the bracket that holds the crank sensor. The sensor only sticks out about 1/4", so I am thinking that the steel bracket is reducing the influence of the timing wheel passing by.
I am heading out of town tomorrow for work, so hope to get back to it next Saturday.
