Wife was hit by a big rig, driver on some kind of meds, blacked out came across the line he flipped . thank the lord she was in my dully they both walked away. she is banged up and sore. but still here . time is so short guys tell your love ones how much you adore them .now. 3ft or 2 mi per hr it would have been head on and I would be a basket case.

WE DONT TELL THEM ENOUGH and assume they will always be their to take care of us. their should be a national spouse day everyday . don't know bout you'll, but mine has made the last 36 yrs ,, well you know

It's so good she wasn't hurt bad. She shouldn't be hurt at all. It can happen so fast. I pray she doesn't have any lasting effects from this. Jim

The last thing My first Wife said to Me as they wheeled Her away to surgery was that She loved Me. Have made it a point to never leave the presence of my children or my new wife without telling them I love them.

I make it a point to kiss my wife goodbye every morning and say "I love you" even when its 5am. She used to get upset about it saying it messed up her sleep, until one day I came home to tell her about a friend who had a 4160 volt switchgear blow up in his face and how we had to put him out as even his leather boots were on fire. Now she smiles a sleepy smile and says "love you too". Never know which day will be our last. Glad to hear your wife is okay! Sounds like the Good Lord was smiling on her.

Yup I got a call like that on July 10th. It was the chaplain at Geisinger medical center. My son had just been life flighted in with serious injuries after high siding off his Honda in a right hand turn at about 30 MPH. He spent 4 days in ICU, 2 days in an induced coma due to serious brain bruising and 3 broken ribs. No doubt his helmet saved his life. He's now in medical inhouse rehab for a couple weeks until we're sure he can remember if he took a shower that morning and not fall doing it. He'll be awhile recovering, but the doctors are saying he'll be in good shape in time except for the hearing in his left ear which they are not as certain about. Never take loved ones for granted.
