Blackberries

I sell blackberries, pick em yourself. Being they're
just started coming in I limit how many can pick and
how much they can get, 1 gallon limit. This is by
appointment only. So far today I've had 3 time more
people show up to pick berries then I've have
scheduled. They can't understand that there's not
enough ripe berries to pick. Guess they figure I can
just make more

Simple economics to solve your problem charge more for them.

The deer flies can't be as bad there as they are here or you wouldn't get anybody to get out of their car to pick'em. I knocked down some second cutting hay this morning. About had to drive with my knees the whole time so I could swat flies with both hands.

Yep sad but true some people do not understand food comes from farms and gardens not the store so they think you have lots of stuff ripe no matter when

Carry a claw hammer so you can get 'em with the first whack. Used to use a hatchet, but eyesight is not as good.

Deer flies are horrible here too. I'd rather have mosquitoes; at least they land so you have a chance of swatting them.

Mine are done for the year. Got 3 gal. before the beetles took over. They were so thick on the berries, that they looked about the size of a pecan and color too.
