Back in the drought

We had a DRY winter, then a WET spring, now it is a DRY summer. The front passed through without a drop of rain.

At least it is supposed to cool down 20 degrees.

I'm awful afraid the same thing is gonna happen here. There were some just off to the south this afternoon along the county line and in the next county down. A small line is forming off to the north, but I'm not holding my breath. Should have knocked down some second cutting today.

The last 2 days it rained like mad for about 15 min and then the sun came back out. I told my wife that it just did that to raise the humidy a little more. Most fields have the second cutting done but the corn on the light ground is in bad shape. I saw a field yesterday that was all brown dry. It was on sand

exactly the same here. Didn't think we would ever get a window to hay and then the water just shut off. Clay County Mo.

So much rain in Indiana this year that even through last week as soon as go outside get eaten alive by mosquitos. This week I'm in Illinois, and this looks like drought. Different as night and day.

I live in west central Arkansas. Had a good spring and made lots of hay. Then the rains stopped. Corn crop is no good. Some have started baling it for hay, not good enough to combine. Soybeans are not a lot better, but if it were to rain soon they would not be a total loss. This is the THIRD year in a row for these farmers.

Got some hay cut and baled in 4 fields earlier, been raining for the last 2 months. No rain today for a change, 40% tomorrow, similar chance next 7 days.
In SC. Lakes full.

What 9 days till your down this way. Weather guessers are says chance of rain here for the next 5 or 6 day but the problem is isolated at best. Yep if we do not get rain soon we will be back in a drought for this summer. But hey if you like it hot and muggy then your coming down here just in time for it. It was 97 today and 60 plus humility

Yeah - DRY winter, DRY spring & (up 'til now) a DRY, WINDY summer BUT the SW Monsoon has come in already and we've had 3 days with a couple of hours of good steady rain & lower tenps (80s instead of 90s) - Thank God! :D

In north Arkansas it's been real spotty showers. The south end of my farm is dry but still growing, the north end has cracks in the ground an inch wide and 2' or more deep. We did get a good 1st cutting of hay and the 2nd cutting is better than expected. It's a lot better than last year but this is the 4th year of a lot drier than normal.
