Husband got the correct smooth steering gear assembly on the F20.

He mowed the field lane over vacation a couple weeks ago. Thought you might enjoy seeing the old girl work.

greenmech,

That one looks real nice in it's work clothes! If my husband had it to do over, he'd not have painted this one 20-some years ago. Would have left it rusty like our Regular.

Dachshund,
I don't have a clue...will try to remember to ask him. I know he shorted the sickle bar to 5 feet so it better "fits" areas he mows with it (used to be 7 feet, I think).

There"s pride and joy in keeping older equipment
going..and in knowing that it was made when
quality mattered.

Great pix. Thanks. I have a 37 F20 just like yours with a Caswell loader on it. Your pix have motivated me to try to get a 25V mower sitting in the weeds down the road from me. Thanks again.

Bruce S.,

If you are able to get the mower down the road, you will enjoy it.

My husband grew up on a dairy farm - so mowed A LOT of hay. He says he likes this mower better than anything he ever used back then.

greygoat,

Very true.

I am glad that he, and so many others, keep the old machines going. It would be such a shame if they had all be scrapped.
