Just finished baling the last of the alfalfa.

Worst field (which didn't green up until 3 weeks ago; I tought it all drought killed) made 1.11 ton. I'm happy with that. :>)

Now, on to the grass hay and that pitiful wheat crop.

I finished baling hay last Friday. Hauled off the last of it yesterday. Quite a relief to finally be done.

I hear that. Always such a rush to get it in.

At least with grass hay, I can bale that silly stuff in the daytime. :>)

Speaking of wheat, people around here in SC have struggled to get it in between rains. One field hasen't been harvested and I hear that the grains are molding in the heads. Don't know what if anything it is good for.

Not much cut here but when the wife and I went and got groceries the night before last it looked to me like there had been a round made around a field just west of me. He asked the other day if I wanted to bale the straw after he cut it,so I'd probably best be going to take a look.

They are cutting lots of wheat around me. Byron Center-Allegan area in SW Michigan. An early planted corn field is all in tassel. We need rain--60% chance tomorrow--but that corn looks pretty good.
