Budget Green Bay/Seattle Flight

We arrived home from Seattle Wednesday afternoon, (put 4460 miles on the '95 Buick). However, my sister-in-law's situation is such that my wife needs to spend more time with her as she goes through more surgeries.

We don't fly a great deal. How can we find the best deal possible?

Thank you,
Glenn F.

Green Bay's kinda pricey to fly out of, compare rates on a ticket from Green Bay against Milwaukee or Mad City. Some of the web sites like price line, travelocity or expedia can get you a better deal, hit the net and don't be afraid to look at other airports. Also look at tickets a few days either side of when you want to travel sometimes if you stay over a weekend or can shift your travel to a day where they don't have as much booked you can get a better deal. If it's an option dropping her off and picking her up in Minneapolis will save you about 50%

How about Amtrak? You can buy a rail pass, 15 days and 8 segments for approx $450. Midwest to SEA is the Empire Builder. Last station in WI is LaCrosse. I think LaCrosse to Seattle would be one segment as a segment is a boarding and getting off. So, if you had a connection to a another train or bus, that would count as two. I think it is around 36 hours or so from MSP. The Empire Builder starts in Chicago I think....

If they have the flights, St. Paul airport is usually less expensive than Minneapolis. Chicago Midway is also less expensive than O'Hare.
