L225 Kubota Part - 10 years later

Looked for this part used about 10 years ago - no luck.
I have a 1978 Kubota L225F - little 3 cyl diesel. It has the splines stripped off the "Main Input Shaft" in the transmission, rendering 1st/5th gear and the 540 rpm pto inoperable. 10 years ago, used ones were impossible to find, and a new one was more than I paid for the tractor!
Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place for used Kubota parts? Or if after-market parts are available now?
I was "told" back then that the L175 was the same transmission. Are there others?
All help is appreciated...

Well, it came down a little:

STILL more than I paid for the tractor!

Anyone know of any used ones?

I remember some of those early models would strip the splines right out of the clutch hub. Shaft would be fine. Hub looked like it was machined that way,but wasn't. Must of had soft metal ? the replacements were holding up fine.
Front diffs. would strip the teeth off too. If you had a loader Kubota would not warranty them.
Maybe you could have one machined at a local shop ? Not going to be cheap either.

Here's 2 companies you can try for kubota parts. I've got a 1983 L305DT & Kubota refered me to these when I was looking for a hydraulic supply tube:

Try tractorbynet, it's a forum all about compacts and imports. There is a scrapyard, up in Shippensburg, PA, but I can't remember the name.

There is a skidloader salvage yard in Shippensburg, PA, called GD Equip. 717-530-0170. Maybe same place? If not, I"d bet they"d know who it is.
