I need to replace the hyd.pump shaft seals from the trans. I can not get the drive shaft drive nut off the trans output shaft. I have worked it with a steel rod and 3# hammer, liquid wrench etc and it won't budge. Would use heat, but not with all the oil etc. I assume it has a right hand thread. Help. Dave

Put the tractor in 5th gear and set the brake lock, also block the wheels with 6x6 chunks or something else big. Then take a pry bar or a steel piece that fits in the slot and gives you 2' or so of leverage and it should be possible to unscrew it. It is right hand thread as you said.
