Doing a mowing job a couple days ago. I mentioned to the guy I haven't had a flat tire all season. I got one on his job, but I just finished up. By the time I had it loaded it was really flat, but only on the bottom. stan

been there, done that, every time i go to mow back yard, after couple of weeks, figure that the front tires held up,, wrong, some day i might wise up and put new tires on the dumb thing,,,

Pretty well all my small tired vehicles around the farm, lawn mowers, golf carts, trailers etc etc I"ve taken and put tubes in them which reallyyyyyyyy really reduced my flat tire problems. I also keep them aired up fairly tight which extends tire life cuz they dont flex n heat up in the middle. My Golf Cart trailer needed new tires, it had 480 x 12 Load Range B and when I went on Flea Bay lookin for new tires (plus priced them locally) I found 530 x 12 Load Range C 80 PSI tires PLUS Wheels including shipping for $63 each which is near the price of tires alone at many places. I put them on yesterday and cleaned n greased the studs now I can haul my Golf cart to Florida wooooo hooooooooo

That's the going price for that tire and wheel. $39 installed tire alone on your wheel. Recently got little tilt bed trailer with those tires, no spare, the tires looked ok, but I bought new wheel and tire. First trip to daughter's hauling a round bale of old hay the old tire got a slow leak, well, it wasn't slow enough. Pumped tire up at daughter's house, my little 4 year old granddaughter who likes to take the tires off her toys said "that tire is still making a noise." Good ears, she got to see me put the spare on. The trailer now has another new tire.

Right now the one tire on the lawn mower has started to lose it s tread, the camper has a flat, the golf cart has two flats and the granddaughters mower has a rear flat. I never had flats when I worked at the tire store and could have them repaired for free!

I would have to quit if it were not for air compressors and jumper cables , battery chargers , logchains , welders and VISEGRIPS

Hmm I must be lucky then,..

had only only one flat in 23 years of lawn mowing with my 72 JD 112
And that one I seen coming as the tube was sticking trough the sidewall for some years before it finally popped

But I did blow the engine twice
