Checked my E-mail a few minutes ago, had one that read like this: "Your account will be limited" It was from "Paypal<[email protected].
Dear Clients,
Someone tried to access your account, you must confirm your identity to restore your access to your account.
CLICK HERE to confirm your identity."

OK, so first, it is supposedly from Paypal UK, NOT PayPal, Inc. (US) Second, I do not nor have I ever had an account with PayPal. Third, any reputable company would notify you by mail concerning something like this.
I'm beginning to smell something! And I'll be dxxmed if Im going to "click here"!
 
Yep. Log in (if you HAD an account and password) and they would be right in a scammers hands. (Or hard drive.)

That scam has been around as long as there has been an internet.
They will claim to be Ripoffpal, a bank, Fleabay, Microflop, or you name it, phishing for your account information, and if you respond, your account is robbed.

NEVER give out that info online!

There is a way to report them to the financial institutions by forwarding their fake email to the institution they claim to be.
I don't know about the others, but [email protected] or for Fleabay, [email protected].

Any other financial organization will have info on their website to report any scam purporting to be from them.

I had a paypal account from buying things on line. It's a scam. the link takes you to a scam site, that looks like the real paypal site, where they try to get you to give out your password. I have gotten dozens of them over the years. I ignore them. But, apparently, One was legit (I have no idea witch one) and now my payapl account is frozen. I might try to get it straightened out someday, but for right now, I don't miss it.
