loader for international 3588

i have an unternational 3588 that i,d like to put a frontend loader on i,ve never seen one on a tractor like that and would like to know if anyone else has or even knows if it will work

Dunno Pard,

I think that is a "sprung loader" just waiting to happen. First time you dig into something heavy and move that steering wheel. :>(

I think the bigger issue is those tractors are not a quick shift from forward to reverse. I am sure you could hunt or fabricate something that would work but then you would have the headache of actually using. I would not do it unless this is just going to be a novelty. I've got a 986 and I have no desire to outfit it with a loader.

That center pivot on the 2+2 is weak to begin with. You start putting more side pressure with a loader and you are going to break the tractor in half or spring the loader as Allan said.

Yes it can be done.

Yes it can be done but look at what it's doing to the tractor!

The whole loader is in front of the front axle, and the bucket's gotta be 6-8' ahead of the grille in that photo. That puts ALL the tractor's weight on the front axle.

Normal loaders are mounted somewhere in between the front and rear axles.

You can almost see the tractor humping up at the pivot point.

It's a neat idea but given that the tractor wasn't designed for it in the first place and the newest 3588's are 32 years old and wore... IMHO not a good idea.

Mkirsch I tend to agree with what you said. If I had a 2+2 don't think I'd put a loader on it either. But he asked if it could be done and yes it can.

That would be an excellent way to take out the top pivot pin really quickly. Be cheaper in the long run to buy another tractor for loader work.
