Backside of sunset - pic

Cameras never seem to catch the color perfectly, but I took these
with the sun setting over my shoulder.
It lit the trees up a brilliant red and left the rest in shadows.
These were taken just a minute or so apart.

Great pics!

Tried a few of these a week ago... but did not get as nice of a glow. Will have to give it another shot.

Just goes to prove that being in the right place at the right time can make the differance between a nice picture and a great picture!!!

Everything about the second picture is professional grade. The road focuses the eye, the muffler and tree work together, the frame is tangent to the curve of the fork in the road, and the contrast is perfect. The attraction is not on center, but just enough left to allow the front wheel to be on the mid line. Well done. Jim

Wow that is just beautiful, I really never comment on pictures but those are really masterpieces. Wish my old tractor looked that good.

Beautiful photos! You just never know when the opportunity will come along. If you were waiting for something like that, it would likely never happen.

2 years ago we had a storm blow through just before sunset, it cleared up as the sun was going down. It reflected off the clouds and lit us back up, the color was quite odd. Had my camera with me. With dead batteries. I'd say we had an extra 20-30 minutes of daylight that evening.
