While my field is only 2x20 ft, I think it looks pretty good. All planted a week apart starting may 10. Didn"t get heat till recently. Now it is basically all the same. Corn is white/yellow.

If what you mean is the sweet corn variety is white/yello, then that is ok. But if you don't get that "plant population" down a bit you will not see any white/yellow as all you will grow is little nubbins. Start with pulling all the smallest plants and work up to the medium sized plants as they cannot compete for sun and nutrients. Late emerging plants end up basically as weeds.

With such a small corn patch you might not get good pollination to produce any ears but you also might luck out.

Not trying to scare you, but them's the facts of corn growing.

Never have had much luck w corn. Seems ants always move in near harvest time.

My corn plot is not very big either but I space them out a bit and plant lettuce in between!

If you dont listen to ole buddy LA you wont get anything but corn 18in high. 20in wide and plants should be single row 7in apart and lots of fert and water.
 
I musta pizzed one of the local kids off- We just noticed some little bustard ran through the corn besides the house and across the front lawn last night, about two hundred feet through the field. What a mess-
 
The yellowish color means one of:

It is really cold, and root system just isn't growing.

It is really wet, and root system just isn't growing.

It is lacking nitrogen and/or sulfur. Adding some would really help it grow.

Is that a building or fence along side the corn? Corn requires 100% full sun to grow properly. All the plantfood and water in the world will not produce a crop of corn in the shade. Joe
