My godson got himself engaged last week, so had to stop all farming work on Friday night to go to his surprise party complete with cake! (And a few drinks....hic!) He is only 20 this December and his fiance is the same age. They met in 7th grade at school and been nearly inseparable ever since. They don't intend to marry for a few years......If they have any sense???????
Makes me feel old as it seems like yesterday when he was born, premature, weighing only about 2lbs...He has grown up all right.

Congrats to the couple. I had the pleasure of standing out in the hot Kansas sun in a tux on Saturday with my best buddy while he got married, another good friend was up there with us, his wife was in the crowd with his little boy who turns 1 next month. Seems like only yesterday the three of us were playing baseball and shooting hoops in the driveway dreaming about our future wives. Time does march on, Amanda and I have been married 5 years now.
 
I am the step grandfather to the little girl next door. Long story.Born seven months ago. Sure not the little thing that came home.They do grow up fast.

Hope your godson has a long and happy life with his bride.
 

I just found out Saturday that a friend that is as about as old as I am, (64) is getting married for the second time next month. They have been together for probably two years.
