Massey 165 3 point hitch

alright so i have a massey 165 and it seems as if it has a bit of a hydraulic issue. The tractor was just in the shop cause i completely lost hydraulic pressure, both at the remotes and at the lift arms. They though it might be the pump but then they decided it wasn't (super happy bout that) but they did some other work to it and said it was good to go. The remotes now work ok and the 3point hitch does too but the 3 point hitch especialy is really slow. I have the response lever the whole way up at fast and it still takes a good bit of time to raise up an implement. Even stranger it takes a good while for the implement to go down. Anther issue with it is that when you go to hook up to an implement the lift arms will not go down unless you get off the tractor and go back and jump on them. no matter what you do with either lever. they will not go down without wieght. So is this normal? i dont figure that it is but i would think that after spending 2500 at the MF place it should work like any other tractor.
any ideas for a fix would be greatly appreciated

It is not working correctly. Post over on the Massey board for some help. The pumps and lift controls in all of the 100 series masseys are the same.

I would take it back, like the other poster stated for that kind of
money it should be working perfectly. I would call the dealer
and explain what it is doing, they may know exactly whats goin
on with it.

The MF's have a complicated multiple hydraulic pump system which can internally leak a little or leak a lot. A little leaks cause hydraulic drift; never seen a MF that the 3pt arms didn't drift down with an implement attached. Also the system needs to be internally calibrated/set to make it work correctly. If they don't have the proper service manual nor patience, good luck!

yeah, I'm just gonna have to take it back to the dealer...I hope they don't charge me a bunch more!
