Anyone ever heard of the L.C.Wood Co.?

I'm trying to find out more info on the wagon I posted in Implement Alley earlier this week. It's an aluminum flare box, and on the side it said "Manufactured by L.C. Wood Co., Alden Iowa. (At least I THINK it said Alden--it's barely readable anymore.)
I've not been able so far to find out anything about this company-I assume it no longer exists?
The wagon box is at least 50 years old. It's been in my family as long as I can remember.
Just wondering if anyone here has heard of them, or know anything about them. Did they produce any other products?
Thanks!

Googled "L.C. Wood Company Iowa"... click on the second link from the top - it is a discussion forum on another site that makes mention of the company you are talking about.

Not much - but it may be helpful to you in finding more info.

Also maybe some historical society in that area of Iowa might have more info.
L.C. Wood Company Iowa tiny bit of info

SweetFeet,
Thanks for the link. So far that's the only other mention of this company that I have seen. So now we know that they apparently built steam engines too!
I did find the website for Alden, Iowa. I emailed them earlier this week, but so far have not gotten a response. I'll have to check into the Historical Society or something.
Thanks again!
Rich
