30% chance of rain Wednesday evening and another 30% shot on Thursday, highs in the mid 80's. Was going to knock down some hay but think I better hold off, seems I have to quit by noon on Friday and won't be able to saddle up until Sunday afternoon. Gotta go stand out there in the sun in one of them shiny tuxedos with my best buddy while he gets hitched up on Saturday.

I did some hay last week Fist cutting got a tad bit of rain on it but not enough to hurt it any more like a heavy dew then a rain. I then cut Wednesday evening again and baled Friday. Very good crop this year and very thick

I've baled some of the cleanest hay this year that I've ever baled. It has to be since it's been rained on at least 3 times befor I could get it baled. Between the weather and the break downs, sometimes I think I'm crazy for not buying my hay and other times I know I am. It sure would be a lot cheaper all the way around but not nearly as enjoyable. LOL Keith

No complaints on the weather, and as a follow up I had .60 at the house this afternoon and some areas within 5 miles had up to 2.5". It's welcome here. The only idea I don't relish is leaving hay on the ground for a couple days when it needs to be baled. I have no concern of buying hay, I cover 350 acres, making quality hay is high on my list of priorities.
