We do children's programs like that, at the farm museum I work at. You would be surprised how popular they are.
Our programs are broken down to age groups, ex: Little Farmers, Farm Friends, Animal Friends and the list goes on. Most are week long programs.

I noticed that the day doesn't start until 9:30. With my Dad it was up at 4:30 and out the door at 5:00. Then off for a fun day at school.I would have paid to get off the farm back then.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this idea. Customers will get fed well, sleep in comfortable beds, and probably won't have to work too awful hard or do anything particularly dangerous.

I don't understand why people have such a problem with farmers making money, especially the farmers themselves. A farmer finds a way to make money, and everyone has to drag him down.

Not blasting the farmer. I think it is a good way for city folks. To see what it is like on a farm.I went to the Philly zoo. When my ship was in the yards.Almost fell over when I saw they had cows in the zoo.

Back in the "dirty 30's" Dad traded a summer on the farm for two kids for a used dough mixer that he converted to mix chicken feed. Go figure, but he was a successful farmer for 40 years.
