Our Regular with stormy clouds and bridal wreath (engine IS in the shop now).

WHAT?! Husband primed over RUST!! Had to be done - this smooth gear cover top is the correct one for our F20. Tractor is painted, so I guess he had to do it. : )

Son doing some shadetree work on his beloved truck... adding fender flares.

Son's truck with the finished product. I think it looks nice - he is going for the look of a total redneck and I think he is achieving his goal.

So darn wet here that the lichens on our Regular are coming back to life, even though it gets sun most of the day.

An old hay rake I found with a tree growing in it.

On old barn we happened upon - has a hexagon end on it. A real long-shot, but was too muddy to venture closer.

The outhouse my husband built almost three years ago, is finally starting to turn a nice shade of grey.

Sweetfeet,
As always, you post such neat pics of days gone by. Your farm looks really nice. Your husband's ingenious idea of the mower is so cool. Great job. Thanks for the nice pics. Tell your son I am envious of his pickup. My is an 89 Silverado 4x4 3/4 ton with rust. His looks really nice.

thanks for posting Sweetfeet - always enjoy your pics - those fender flares look like a like and idea for mine - coverup the rust.

Kornfused,

That is part of the reason for them. Rear driver side is rusted all the way through, just above the tire.

larry@stines,

Thanks.
Almost a full day and a half now without rain!

We went bummin' around today - amazing how much ground is NOT planted. Would be interesting to see an aerial photo.

Kow Farmer,

Thanks! We did try to keep our farm looking like yesteryear as we fixed things up. We like the look of those years gone by... but we love electricity, central heat and window A/C!

I'll tell my husband, he will be pleased. He is always designing and fabricating interesting stuff. Probably should have gone to school and become an engineer.

Will tell my son about the truck too. He will also be thrilled. His does have some rust-through above the driver's side rear wheel... the fender flares hide it well. Also the clear coat is flaking on his hood - so he will eventually have to do something about that.

Nice pictures, Sweet. You have a good camera eye. There are lots of beans not planted here in my part of NWIA too. A neighbor has a plane and I might give him a call to see if he would take me up and over our Iowa 'Land-O-Lakes'. Jim

rankrank1,

Thanks.

Mower is 5 feet wide. He said it works the B pretty good if rains let the quack out back get a little on the tall side. Small enough he can flip it by hand for maintenance purposes.

fixerupper,

Thanks... love taking photos.

Would be really interesting to see an aerial photo if you get to go up with your neighbor.

Hope your wife is getting all recovered and your A/C trouble is gone. Wishing her the best for her upcoming surgery!

Thank you for the good wishes. She's doing OK now thanks to clean air and antibiotics. The main challenge now is HEALTHY till next Monday. If there's one scratch or entrance for infection on her come time to replace the hip the doc won't do the surgery. Jim

Nice place youll have there, I can well remember them dirty jeans your son has on, Mine used to look the same. Back when I was his age Working on cars and trucks.

fixerupper,

Keep us all posted - will be praying for her in the meantime. And yes, if any illness - then for sure, it is best to reschedule the surgery.

Rusted Nuts,

Thanks. We like the ol' homestead. :)

Yep, think the jeans are "perma-stained", no amount of washing will ever make them clean.

Paul from MI,

Thanks. Will tell my husband.

He really enjoys YT even though I do all the "computing".
