I have a running and operating D19 with a Stanadyne injection pump. It runs well under full load and idles great, however it is difficult to find a sweet spot in the tming and misses some under a partial load. I have found a rebuilt Rosa Master pump which I understand was like the original pump when the tractor was new. I am leaning toward buying the Rosa Mastger or Stanadyne. I will appreciate any opinions.

Are you SURE your pump is the problem...If it were me I would call carl, he"s my injector pump re builder,,, Are you getting antiquity supply of fuel? are you injectors ok...I would check the least expensive thing first. I"m not saying thats not you problem, But a fella could look pretty stupid discovering it was something silly...Yah know what I meen???

I have a D19 with the original Roosamaster pump, and I agree, timing is VERY critical. Sometimes it just takes trial and error. You can't just set it on the marks and have her sing to you.

Before you spend money on a different pump, you might want to play with the timing a bit more.

NOT sure what the actual question is here, but Roosa Master and Stanadyne = the same company.

Vernon Roosa invented the darned things, and Stanadyne (originally Hartford Machine Screw Company) has always been the builder of them (along with kitchen faucets and hydraulic valve lifters)!

Or, wasn't that the question???
