A friend has a gould pump that is a horse powered (walking in circle type) that hooks up to a gould pump. It says the name Challenge on it and has a patent date of 1876. Anybody have any information on this pump? Google patent searches and book searches have brought up some sales literature/basic descriptions and sizes available, but nothing about working on them (instructions etc). Any help is appreciated.
