Building Permit for deer stand?

I have seen a lot of deer stands in the woods and back fields built on poles in the ground. My question; is a building permit required for a deer stand if it is permanent in the ground?

Why would you even ask? Just do it if it's your land. It's not a house with services. Don't open a can of worms, just build it.

I hope not,but there are laws about driving nails into trees here.Mounting on a pole gets rid of that problem.

NC says that anything bigger than 10 x 12 has to have a permit. No mention of how high, or for what purpose.

Here in Mich the county I live in anything over 200 SF needs a permit. Another county I don't remember which one was sending out tax bills for the deer shanties. That did not go over to well and it was dropped.

With Big Brother now tracking our phone calls and internet and all the surveillance cameras all over the country and the IRS targeting Conservatives (and I betcha they consider hunters and gun owners as enemies of the state) YOU BETTER GET A PERMIT or its fines and off to jail for you..........

The entire state of Wisconsin has had zoning for decades. The following is from Iron County: "(A) No structure shall be built, moved, or structurally altered, and no land use shall be substantially altered until a Land Use Permit has been issued by the County Zoning Administrator."

That says a whole lot of nothing. Does that mean that if acorns fall off Oak trees, that the land owner has to apply for a permit for each new tree that emerges??? What are the councequences if a squrrel builds a residence in a tree????
