I was at a consignment auction and had to take a picture of this old generator. Just looked kind of odd to me. I've never seen one like it.

I took this picture with my cell phone so it's not the best.

It is a McCulloch. I was a McCulloch dealer when they were sold. They were not very dependable as they had aluminum windings and they did not hold up well. The least overload would let the magic smoke out. In defense of the company though they did make them good under warranty.
 
It looks like my McColloch #H1500 generator. 1500 Watts max, 1275 watts continuous, 3 HP Briggs engine. Noisey by todays standards, but it's OK for powering a circular saw, a drill or battery chargers in the boonies, or for an ice fishing house in the winter.
