Who's going to the Waukee swap meet?

They moved it to the Dallas county fairgrounds.

last year was my last visit to the swap meet and 4 years ago was my last show i went to. i would imagine this may be the last year for any of it period. alot of the equipment that was stored at the show grounds has been hauled off
 
Not only is the road under water, I would expect the fairgrounds might also be under water. Even if the water subsides, the mud will be more than I want to tackle.
 
I talked a friend last night that was going down to sell. I told him he'd better call and find out if it was still on. I met him south of Ogden with a trailer load about 11:00 am this morning. I think the river is expected to crest tomorrow noon at 6 feet over flood stage. Just talked with him at 4:45, he said there are plenty of vendors, people are buying,and the river is not anywhere close to the fairgrounds.. Will probably go tomorrow...
 
I live near Adel, the fairgrounds is not under water! Hwy. 169
has a low spot that fills with water every wet year. Why the Dot
has not fixed it is anybody's guess. Been happening for years
and years. Your tax dollars at work!
 
I assume they have some dry parking. My only four wheel drive pickup is the old 79 Dodge 360 with full time four wheel drive and 4:10 finals. Slurp!!!! LOL Jim
