Change flag on flag pole,local vfw post does official flag during summer will give old flag to them. Going to put the plates that have the mens names that were killed in my brothers unit next too the flag on the barn. I will say thanks too all those who gave me the way of life we live.god bless all of them and their families,thank you, I will not forget you all. Steve in wi.

Taken at the Veteran's Memorial adjacent to the City Cemetary in Seward, NE.

First is yours truly. Second is the main stone on the memorial. Third is my wife with her oldest brother's flag. He was one of seven out of an entire platoon who made it back down off of Porkchop Hill in Korea and he was shot up pretty bad. We assumed he had one or more Purple Hearts, but we didn't find out until after he died about ten years ago he also had the Silver Star. He just never said anything. Seems those who did the most, say the least.

Since I restored a 1956 M38a1 military Jeep I have been asked to transport speakers for our local Memorial Day ceremonies, and I'm always proud to do it. There's a few others in our county that also have restored military vehicles and we all try to get together for the parade. This year was a bit wet and cold here in Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan but we got the job done. From left to right Joe Jepson's 1953 M37, my 1956 M38a1, & Tom Romine's 1945 Willys MB.
