Believe it or not,we talked to a couple from there last summer at a motel in Van Wert Ohio when we were on the 127 Yard Sale. They came down for the sale. Said it was their second time doing it.

I`ve lived in Alaska all my life, and I think everyone else can give you better ideas for touristy stuff :) If you want to check out the farming, head from Anchorage north 1 hour to Palmer, check out the Colony House museum and the outdoor displays, maybe drive the springer loops and check out some of the farms. 20 miles west of there in Wasilla is the Alaska Museum of Transportation and Industry, quite a bit of neat iron, and how it was used building up this state.

If you need a place to stay in Seward go to the Nauti Otter inn about 2 miles North of town. A school teacher from Texas runs it. I was there two summers ago on my motorcycle from Mi. The price is right and she will just give you the run of the place.

Gwennie's is a must stop for breakfast. Close to the airport.
Also, F Street Station in downtown Anchorage is a great place for dinner. Their Halibut is fantastic.
