Chevy Truck Question

I have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD. It has a 6.0 engine. How do you make the "change oil soon" light go out? It"s driving me nuts. I don"t have a manual to look it up. Thanks.

I think you turn the key to on,then depress the accelerator to the floor and back up three times in succession,this sets the "Oil Change Guide",then start the truck

turn the key to the on position, do not start the engine. depress the gas pedal three times. the light will flash and then reset.

Key on, engine off. Push gas pedal all the way to the floor and let off, Do this three times within five seconds then turn key off wait a few seconds and start truck. light should be off.

Everyone is correct on the procedure to follow to reset your change oil on the Chev pickup.
What is the procedure for a 2012 Dodge Caravan change oil light comes on occasionally? Thanks, Murray. (PS this procedure did not work on our van)

On a chebby its 3 times in 3 sec. Bam Bam Bam... U R done with it till the next time

On yours its 3 times in 10 sec SLOWLY. re-pete till you go to the menu button and turn it off forever ( at least I think you can).
