Cat 3208 question

It is almost wheat harvest panic time. I am working on the neighbors truck because I don't have my own stuff needing repairs all the time or anything!

I had to do fuel line work on a truck with the Cat 3208 in it. This truck has been a pain to bleed in the past (or so the mechanic told me). Can I crack the lines at all of the injectors to bleed at once? I bled it to the pump and ran out of time to finish it up. I'm hoping for it to just pop right off, but I know that isn't going to happen - it has always needed some cranking every time I have used it.

I used to just break 3 or 4 lines on one side and crank till you get fuel........tighten them up and she will start....

I have changed out many 3208 pumps on generators. Not sure about truck engines. But it should have a hand primer pump.Pump it up until the guage shows full pressure. Then open a couple of lines. Should crank up with no problems.
