7800 JDQuick Disconnect Blow by

Cutting hay with JD 7800 (with a Hesston 1320), and hydraulic fluid keeps blowing by the quick disconnect valves. It's real bad when I try to use the Vermeer R2300, I thought it was just hot fluid.

Any suggestions on what it may be before I get all of the hay oiled?

Some Cheese plants, and brewery"s use a "Food Grade" (Vegetable oil based) hydraulic oil, so
spills won"t hurt the product.

Replace the coupler bodies on the tractor that are leaking.

There are o-rings and some teflon washers to replace in those couplers. Cost less than $10.00 from JD. Easy to replace from the outside, no disassembly required.

internal o-rings need to be replaced friends ford tractor was doing same i just replaced o-rings

You were right, it was the o-rings that were bad.

The diagram helped a lot. Once I got them out, two
were split and the others hard and worn.
