Little extra spending money

Someone in Zephyrhills, Fla has a little extra spending money this morning.
One single ticket won the Powerball with a jackpot of $590.5 million.

While it would be nice I could not deal with all the new or long lost friends you would have.

Not for me, I could put every dime to good use. The county where I live is so poor and depressed it it pitiful.There are no jobs, very few businesses. 78% of the tax dollars collected go to the school system and the senior class that is graduating soon will all have to leave the area to get jobs or an education. The population has not changed since 1920. If I had that kind of money to invest, I could make a lot of positive changes for our area.

Is it that the school system is grossly overfunded with too high teacher salaries and pension benefits or is the tax collection too low? In many places schools and public employees are sucking up more and tax money for salaries, benefits and gold plated pensions and other essential services are suffering and may have to end or have tax increases that will have the population storming the gates with pitchforks and torches.
