Here We Go Again

Time to go live in my other abode for the next 12 hours.

You know, the noisey one with all the glass and the disc hooked on behind?

Hope to be done by the 1st of June with this initial "scratch". :>)

Sounds like lots of fun on tap for you.
I'm headed to the office too. Have 20 acres to work up for a neighbor who wants to sprig Tifften 85 on it.
Good luck to you.

I'd like to trade with you for the day. I get to listen to people argue for the next twelve hours. Pulling a disk would be an improvement. Pulling a manure spreader would be an improvement.

Allan,
I'd rather do what you're doing than what I do everyday for 10 hours a day in the "concrete jungle"....city job. LOL Hope you are having a good spring planting season. My cattle chores every afternoon is good therapy for me.

Steve, would pulling a manure spreader on a windy day, with an open platform tractor be an improvement too? Would in my job. At least I'd get fresh air part of the time.

Irrigating right now, hope to have enough water to get through most of it. Not my favorite job, but i'm not locked up in a little noisey glass house. And i'd rather do either than go back to shift work !!! Ken

We've had an outrageously wet winter and cool, wet Spring in Middle Tennessee. I have a little rise at the end of my hay field, so I took a chance on it being the driest part of the field.

Square baled a couple of acres this morning and now on my way out to pick up the bales. Then, of course, I get to go to my paying job in town this afternoon/evening.

Fun times.

My wife (small town gal, not really been on a farm before she met me) says she really likes plowing in fall, can take out the frustrations of work on the ground..... I set it up for her and stay out of the way!

So, if you are running a disk this time of year in your location, and talked about an adjuster.... That doesn't sound like a good thing? Little too early to have your wheat combined off isn't it, and little late to be starting another spring crop?

You get the bad winter wheat in your location? Working it up to try for double crop soybeans?

Don't know much about your location, just trying to piece it together......
