Within 2 hours of putting the duals on the 1855 and 285, one of the duals went flat on the 1855 in the field. The tire truck happened to be servicing a telehandler at the business next door so they had me drive over and they took off quick and threw it on the truck so they coulod fix it at the shop.

Should be able to pick it up in the morning, with either a different used tire or they'll fix this one. Not sure what the issue is yet but it seemed to have lost pressure awfully fast.

Sure did miss it while working the groud tonight. Lots less traction and flotation on that side.

On the bright side, I put on all 4 duals (2 18.4-34's, 2 18.4-38's) in about an hour. Since I made a socket a few years ago it's really saved me time over a wrench.

You might have found an old cuiltavator sweep or a old T post if it went down real fast. I did that on my 1850 years ago, Rusted off T post that I hit just perfect to slice the side wall open. Dang thing went down before I could hit the clutch. I found out years ago if I have to put duals on by myself they will be T Rail clamp type and that's all I have now. So much easier to mount them by yourself. Its the little things like this that drive a fellow crazy! Bandit

Ours are all clamp ons too. The tire didn't have any big punctures, so they figured it was just because it was so rotten and it pinched the tube. They put on a used 23* firestone radial with about 20% tread. The tire that was on there was a Coop radial, with maybe 30-35% tread, but it was the best they had laying around. Surely ain't gonna put a new radial on a dual.

Got it worked over 3 times and the whole field seeded down w/ oats & peas and alfalfa. Now the forecast has cleared up a bit, but that's ok. It'll let the next field dry out some...
