I bought 2 stihl fs80r straight shaft string trimmers in 2005, use them commercialy, well the one i use had carb problems last summer until it quit. I was gonna take it to the dealer I worked for and bought it from, but he was telling me last fall, no more paying his mechanic the labor to rebuild the carbs, just put a new one on it. Well last week I went on eBay and bought a new carb for $39.00 pulse $2.00 shipping. It literally took me one minuite to remove the old one and hook up the throttle cable, and fuel lines, than bolt the new one back on, prime it, 3 pulls and it now runs like a top now! A whole lot easier!!

a few years ago I was looking on line for a kit for my Husky saw. I found a replacement carb for $23.00. Didn't need the kit any more.

Agreed, when your time is money, its cheaper and faster to replace than rebuild, especially for $41.
