spell check

Got spell check turned off. Doesn't even want to let me use my own name and a lot of common terms used on this site it does not want to let thru.
 
What kind of cockamaime spell check do you have that won't "let through" your post with misspelled words?

All my spell check does is put a squiggly red line under potentially misspelled words. I can click "Submit" with as many "misspellings" as I want and it still goes through.

If the squiggly red line is the biggest annoyance you have right now, you must lead a pretty charmed life.
 
I will just keep it turned off, no messing with something else I do not understand trying to do what you say.
 
I was very good at spelling.After I turned 70 I started typing strange words and leaving out letters unless I watch what I was doing.It will happen to ALL of you.Old age is a Betch.
 
The spell check did appear after I restarted my PC the other day after a power loss. I normally leave the puter on 24/7 for months at a time. So it could have been part if the new changes.
See no misspells. I purposely typed misspells with one "l" and it auto corrected to "ll"
