Went to sow some granulated fertiliser last week, we buy it in half

many fields where you have to look right, left then upwards!!!!!

Same song?

What a wonderful motor car
It's the greatest ever seen
It used to be black as me father's hat
Now it's forty shades of green
On TV and the radio
And in every public bar
The burning question of the day
Is O’Rafferty’s motor car.

(quoted from post at 07:07:02 05/09/13) Now folks this is what I call a great posting. I love Airplanes, Tractors, and Green Grass. Tks.

Shucks, I thought I was gona see a cropduster. Being a retired one that would have been good.

No, different song, written by Johnny Cash while on a trip to Ireland. It is so authentic that the Irish have reportedly come to think of it as an old Irish folk song.

Here are the lyrics:

40 Shades of Green

I close my eyes and picture the emerald of the sea--
From the fishing boats at Dingle to the shores of Donaghadee .
I see the river Shannon and the folks at Skibbereen ;
The moorlands and the meadows with their forty shades of green.
But most of all I miss a girl in Tipperary town;
And most of all I miss her lips, as soft as eiderdown .
I’d love to see and do again the things we've done and seen ,
Where the breeze is sweet as Shalimar, and there's forty shades of green .

I wish that I could spend an hour at Dublin's churning surf ;
I'd love to watch the farmers drain the bogs and spade the turf.
To see again the thatching of the straw the women glean---
I'd walk from Cork to Larne to see the forty shades of green.
But most of all I miss a girl in Tipperary town;
And most of all I miss her lips, as soft as eiderdown.
I’d love to see and do again the things we've done and seen,
Where the breeze is sweet as Shalimar and there's forty shades of green
