Got Stuck In The Field

No, not in mud, but snow. A little unusual for April 25. Normally I would be out anhydrousing or harrowing by this date but our spring is long overdue this year. Finally got up over 40 degrees today so maybe there is some hope.

Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I would have stroke if I were in your shoes.

I'm not far behind. Normally, I am running a disk right now. Right now, though, I am still plowing, and I won't be done for at least a week. That puts me 3 weeks back for the disk, and I'll be planting late.

Such a bad spring, just like 2 years ago. I couldn't buy a dry day 2 years ago. This year is no exception.

Wishing you good luck.

What Are you growing up in the great north?

2011 was bad but we are further behind than that. We had water running everywhere by mid April that year. I still have hopes of growing my usual red spring wheat, canola, flax and oats if I can plant in May. Once we get to June it is pushing the limits.

Its been exceptionally cool in central and n.e. Tx., too.

Was 39 Wednesday morning. Weather keeps bouncing from 39 to 80 then back to 39.
