LOOKING FOR 8 WHEEL HAY RAKE , ANY ONES TO STAY AWAY FROM? NEED ONE THATS USER FRIENDLEY SO MY WIFE CAN USE ...

Vermeer, that design works well in an 8 wheel v rake on wheels setup. Don't reccommend a 3ph v rake that big. I had a 5 wheel 3ph rake and it did not do well on uneven ground. Tonuti(sp) makes Vermeer rakes so you might fine them.

The only downside to v rakes is transport width. New Vermeer rakes fold up high into narrower widths. This is an issue when transportating on roads, but also when goin through gates.

An inline rake on wheels has a narrow transport width and you can combine windrows with them whreas you can't very well with a wheel rake.

Not been very happy with my Befco. Spent a bit of $$ last year on professional re-welding key junction points (major arm pivots worn and wobbly). Prior owner farmer welds not holding up on it either. Should not have needed them anyway. Just seems that they are a bit too light on the gauge of metal used in the rake. Would not buy another.

I had a Sitrex for quite a few years and it worked fine.Bought a new Vermeer v-12 to replace the Sitrex, and would have traded the new Vermeer for the old Sitrex if I could have. I then bought a H&S bi-fold style and I really like it.
