I have a TO 20 I want to sell with a mower. The tractor has one almost new tire (thanks to a fence post) The other tire holds air, but looks bad on something I want to sell. I saw a couple 11.2 x 28's mounted for 200.00 Not bad I thought. Drove 30 miles only to find they were in ths same shape as my bad tire. Rubber peeling off, in places. That's my morning, how's yours? Stan

I know if I owned a pair of weather checked &
rotten 11x28"s I"d love to sell them for 200.00.

Been there more times that I care to remember. I guess some sellers think buyers are dumb and blind.

Drove a coupla hours to look at an Oliver 77 that had set in a dry barn for years and had original paint.
Brush marks in the wrong color of green were deep. Some of the rust holes in the hood were dime size. To top it all off was the red wheels on the inside and the house white paint on the outside front and back. The same white house paint on the grill.

Should have asked for a picture,, remember the old commercials PHONE FIRST... Well now its send me a picture first.

I've driven to more than one auction with those kind of results. One time for a John Deere Chuck Wagon forage box. Darned thing was half rotted away, out in the weeds with no running gear. I got a little peaved and asked the auctioneer why he didn't say on the sale bill that is was rough and for parts?
He said if he had I might not have come to the sale.

I just bought one the other day that was suppose to still have 30% tread for 250 it was bald as bald when I.picked it up but it was the only used I could find so I bought it

Boy that sounds familar, I called about some pole barn trusses advertised in the paper the fella stated a couple were poor when got there they were rafters out of hip roof barn piled outside half rotten. They were not worth the price of newspaper ad.Scott

lousy like every one"s,lol,, payed property taxes to the state that tells me that i can"t do this and that,,gees... did the same thing like you, called on tires for my dualley, went to look, wasting 20 minutes getting lost, [driving directions],pic looked good, saw them, worse than what i have on now...wasted $10 on fuel, [$4.50 gal]..

I had a mismatched set of 13.6x38s advertised here and craigslist for $20 last year. Checked and near bald but usable and not rottten. No takers. Where were you guys who are paying $250 for one tire now?

37 Chief. Check out Bucks Indian Motorcycles. Just type it in. I ran across them at a sale in Gettysburg Pa. Neat website, Pic', and Stories. Jerry.

One man's treasure is another man's trash. I have viewed plenty of men's "treasures."

Just breathe and it will be ok.

I drove 4 hours to buy a truck that had 19000 original miles... It sure did... On the replaced odo, and probably 200,000 on the original. It also had an R-title.

Some guys are honest, but their views of the world are distorted.

Oh well...

Breathe!

Some guys have heard about the price of tires being up, so they try to make a quick buck by inflating the price on junk tires. Just like cartridges I bought 2 bricks of 500 rds each at Dunhams for a total of $48 , while guys are asking twice that at the flea markets. A buck a round for 45acp's , while 2 tables down the guy wants $.18 per round. I love the ones who try to tell you what a good deal they are giving you. Come On!

With rims that's not too bad of price - especially being mounted. Think if you could have found that deal when you only needed one instead of buying the new tire.

Stan, I have couple on a 600 Ford rearend but I don't think it's worth a trip across the Country.
