Some days!

Got out in the fields for a couple-three hours yesterday afternoon and today - cultipacked fields I had in oats last year to try to smooth them out and push the rocks down in preparation for haying later this summer. Had to go around puddles in the fields. Got rained out this afternoon.

Field I want to work up first this year has a 2 acre pond 4 feet deep, with wild geese swimming in it. Son says I'll just have to plant around it. RR - Want that I should pump it, and send it your way? (Sure wish I had the old irrigation pump my dad had when he quit farming about 40 years ago. That and a few hundred feet of the pipes.)

We'd have had to just tossed a few more shovels of dirt on it and worked right over it.

I would love to start a thread on how to get tractors unstuck, but the safety police that lurk on this site would go ballistic when I suggested chaining a post to both wheels and walking it out of there. LOL

I'll take the extra water, just send it on down here to SE TX.
We've had a few light showers this winter & spring but still are way behind on the moisture totals. I'm seeing lots of pastures being worked over, seeded or sprigged. I've got 2 I need to do but the price of seed & sprigs makes for too large a gamble for me when the forecast looks unfavorable as far as moisture.

We used a couple of chains and a tow strap, got straight out to the side at 90 degrees, hooked on with the Cockshutt 1365 FWA so it swiveled right around on one wheel. Popped right out.

More rain this afternoon. Fortunately, I had time this morning to spread some fertilizer on my soon-to-be-planted-oats. Also watered in some nitrogen on my wheat patch.

Naw, not exactly here in PeoRia right now!

Illinois River broke a 70 year old high water level here today at 11.5' above "flood" stage. A lot of smaller towns are hurting much worse.

Randy, please check back this summer!

Glad to hear it came out easy enough.
That, combined with no damage sounds like it turned out Ok!

Even worse here, still standing water in most places, and now it has been raining since 4pm.

wish you could pipe it out here, the last real moisture here was 9 months ago,ive never seen it this dry in my 54 years
