1953 Case Vac Hydraulics

For some time, my 53 case only lifts when RPMs are way high. Now it quit lifting.
Questions 1) where the heck is the Hydraulic Cap for refilling? 2) what is the most probably cause?
thanks Bill

that stretches the memory a bit. I used to have a 52. If I remember correctly it used the oil from the trans or maybe the rear end???? Sounds to me like your pump is shot. Could be seals in the rock shaft cylinder or the isolating valve is stuck, but more than likely its the pump. Especially since you said it used to work at high rpms.

There is a pipe plug on the side of the torque tube in front of the clutch pedal that you fill. The torque tube serves as the resevoir for the hydraulics. It is seperate from the transmission/rear end. Should be filled to the bottom of the hole. Any good grade of hyraulic oil will work. Lee
