changing oil type

curious on what everyones experiance is on going from reg oil to a synthetic blend? from what I've heard when you switch an engine with alot of hours/miles from reg. to full synthetic it seems everything leaks. so I was curious if same thing happens with a synthetic blend? Currantly running Rotella T 15w40 thinkin bout switching to Mystik JT-8 15w40

Thanks

I drained out the old, put in the new ( full synthetic), never looked back. This was like 15 - 20 years ago.

I switched a Toyota Camry at around 390,000kms, and it doesn't leak at all. It seems to burn less oil with synthetic. I'm still half scared to switch the tractors to synthetic. A mistake on them is a whole lot more costlier than an old car.

Bought a 06 Chevy Impala with 3,9 V6 and about 18,000 miles. First oil change asked dealer what to use and they said use full synthetic (5-30 Castor oil syn-tech). The next 6,00 miles it used 5 quarts of oil and no leaks. I switched to Caster oil 10-30 conventional oil and it doesn't use a drop of oil between oil changes.

I put syn in everything. On my '60's tractors I'll mix it with reg just because they are old and I don't worry that much about a little extra wear. I mix it with WW 15w-40. I use Rot T 5w-40 full syn in the tractors and Mobil 1 in the truck and the air cooled lawn mowers. Perfect oil for air cooled engines. Perfect oil for annual oil changes.

Don"t do it. The earth will screech to a halt on it"s axis. The birds will quit singing. Famine and pestilence will be upon the land . You, your family and neighbours will develop a rash or sores. The engine will blow up too.
