OT: Heard worms this morning

My son called me this morning and asked if I could come to one of his corn fields. I said I was busy about 20 miles away but I wanted to know what was wrong. He said he wanted me to hear something in his cornfield. Every time he took a step it sounded like it was raining. He took a shovel and dug up a bunch of old fashioned earth worms. Said every shovel full had enough to go fishing with. I told him that when I was a kid and raised worms to sell for fish bait, you could hear them when you threw corn meal on the beds to feed them.
I also said worms are good for the soil as they help aerate it.
All this rain has probably helped the worms also.

I know many of you will think this is crazy, but if you ever raised worms in a bed, you will know what I am talking about.

I had a digging project last summer and my youngest son was in charge of finding the worms...

nother thing is night crawlers, a quart jar will hold a hundred, within 3 one way or another....try it ...it works

I wish I had that worm problem. It sounds like rain on my place too but it's worm droppings from little green worms eating all the leaves off my trees.
