Enjoyed that picture. That is the oldest photo I have ever seen on the forum, you should get the award of the week for posting that. Wonder what the siding on that house is made of. Never seen a house in that shape. Looks like six sides.
 
That's interesting. Thanks for posting. Laying out a hexagonal house would be a bit more challenging than laying out a square or rectangular one. You could get a breeze through any window with a design like that. Jim

That is the most unique home I have ever seen. It would be interesting to see photos of the inside. So were any of the rooms actually square?
 

There is round barn at the Taylor county, Iowa museum in Bedford. It was dis-assembled, moved from its original location, and then re-assembled on the museum grounds.
 
I used to work on the farm across from the original location of the round barn in Taylor county. Just south of Lenox about 4 miles. In 1994 it was in bad shape. The running joke was alot of farmers bloated up and died because the couldn't find a corner to pee in. There is another round barn the county uses in Lenox just north of the high school.

Yes, I remember the original location. I think a farmer by the name of Dave Bell lived there?

Didn't know about the 2nd round barn. Might have to check it out sometime.
 
Great to hear from you Gitrib ! My Dad was a brand new baby in DEC of 1910 Nice pic .. I only know of one round barn in Pa that is of stone An auctioneer lady had it built. She trained horses in it and later used it for an auction barn.
