Here"s a few more wild flowers I have taken. Most people don"t notice the praying mantis on the thisle.

Thanks for the early spring blossom pics. We certainly don't have any blooming thistles here in NWIA right now, though we certainly do have thistles. I've never seen a Praying Mantis in real life. Jim

I never knew a mantis could fly until I brush hogged an old field. Looked like fairies. I had to get off the tractor to check for sure. Wonderful pictures! My mom always gushed over the half wilted violets and trillium I brought home from trout fishing. She gave them a place of honor on the table in a Dixie cup beside the trout. When you get that kind of reward as a kid, it"s hard not to love wildflowers.
