Lovely Weather in WI

I hope this pic uploads. Shows what we woke up to this morning. You can see the ice on the power lines- branches laying beneath the trees. Just wish it would warm up to 50.

Its been a long winter here in se wi,i,am glad the ice didn,t make it by us.The weather people seem to think our area only got 3/4 inch of rain.I think their off by three inches so far. I guess the btos wont be in the fields by april 15,like last year.

Only in Wisconsin.....Any trees down or power out?....Lots of large branches down on the east side of Lake Winnebago Hilbert area....and wires down in Menasha

NWS out of Grand Rapids Michigan is talking about Freezing rain for late tonite, north of M-46. Guess where I live? Probably going to see what you have by tonight. Also talking strong winds. Freezing rain, strong winds - not a great combination. I"m going to see what you got in spades!

I won't get a chance to survey until after work, but I live in hilbert, work in menasha. Both places never lost power so it's a good start. I followed a utilities truck in, but he went towards Darboy when I kept going towards menasha.

Don, Where was the line for the ice/rain? My parents live down by Fondulac. Might should give them a call this morning.

I live in northern lower Mich and we gat a lot of rain overnight and with the snow we had on the ground it is a sloppy mess. It snowed a little this morning and the snow came down a slush. It needs to warm up

We had a little sleet/rain yesterday morning, and again around 11 last night, but the sidewalk was dry this morning. Radar looked like we were going to get some last night, but it went south of us.

This morning US-41 in Marinette county had about a 1 1/2" of packed icy snow, I got stuck behind a snowplow on my way to work, 15 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. The bridges and overpasses were nothing but ice. I love spring.

Fond du Lac county, Town of Empire

Rained all yesterday and last night. Got close to an inch. Trees are ice covered this morning. I'd like to see a warm up before the snow starts tonight.

I have a son and grandson coming in from Minneapolis tomorrow so we will have our fingers crossed.

Im about 35 miles west of Madison. We had 31 degrees and ice after a thunderstorm before dawn. Lots of ice on trees and grass. Roads were not bad though. We won"t even see 40 for next three days and maybe 1-2" of snow tomorrow night. Nasty cold, wind, and moisture is of no benefit to us. Ground still mostly frozen and all this is running off.

Dale- I don't really collect, just keep some old iron going and use it to help my parents on the farm. I rebuilt my Grandpa's Oliver 1600 a few years ago. We've also got an 1855, Massey 165 and a 285.

To me it's gotta be able ot earn it's keep. The 1600 got a new paint job with Dupont Centari, and it's held up great for sitting outside most of the time. The newest paint on it is about 7 years old, and still shiney and good color yet.

I was told Fond Du Lac didn't really get any ice. In Appleton, there are people who'll be out of power for a day or so yet, and their basements are flooded. Surprisingly, we didn't even loose it long enough to mess up the clocks so far. Normally we atleast get that with a good thunderstorm, like we did last week.
